Responses

Adaptation needs to begin immediately, but the work of rebuilding Tidal Basin will be incremental. By reconfiguring walks, inserting wetlands, and shaping landform barriers we reinforce existing conditions in the near term and create opportunities for the migration of the cherry trees and other elements to higher ground over the next decades.
