Risks

Through this century, tides will rise higher, and days will be hotter. We need to reconcile the Tidal Basin’s defining features with this new era of risk. Acting deliberately, we respond to risk by assessing when elements will be adversely impacted by change. For example, some features can accommodate flooding every few years, but not daily. And others will be damaged by any level of flooding and must be addressed sooner rather than later.
